English Language Studies (6 levels)
Standard / Intensive / Super-Intensive / 1:1

At ETC International College, we have systems for ensuring that students receive personalized attention.  We aim to provide the kind of linguistic training and support that they need in order to make rapid progress and quickly attain a good degree of fluency and accuracy in English.  Students will study in small, multinational classes (the maximum number of students is 14, although the average number is 10) along with students of a similar age and language ability.
 

Course type

There are four types of General English course available:

1. Standard course (20 lessons = 15 hours per week).

2. Intensive course (28 lessons = 21 hours per week).  This course includes 8 lessons of communicative skills practice per week.  This course covers the same material and uses the same methodology as the General English Standard Course.  However, in the afternoon on four days per week, there are two lessons of additional communication practice.  These extra lessons are designed to give students the chance to develop their confidence in speaking and listening.

3. Super-Intensive course (36 lessons per week = 27 hours per week) This course includes 16 lessons of communicative skills practice per week. This course covers the same material and uses the same methodology as the General English Standard Course. However, in the afternoon on four days per week, there are four lessons of additional communication practice. These extra lessons are designed to give students the chance to develop their confidence in speaking and listening.

4. 1:1 course (one teacher for one student).  You may study any number of 1:1 lessons per week, unless you are a visa national, in which case you will need to take a minimum of 15 hours' tuition (combined) per week.
 

Levels

We run English Language Studies (general English) courses at six levels:

1. Beginner (advance notice required! Please tell us if you are a beginner).

2. Elementary.

3. Pre-intermediate.

4. Intermediate.

5. Upper-intermediate.

6. Advanced.
