Dates and Fees – Valid from 2nd October, 2006 – 31st August 2007
Fees are in Pounds Sterling. You must pay full fees 4 weeks before your course starts. You must pay all bank charges. Maximum class size = 14 students, except for Executive courses (maximum = 8 students). The average age of students at ETC is 23. The age range of students in an average class is 18 to 35 years of age. Each lesson is 45 minutes long.
Enrolment Fee
Enrolment is now free! Each course now includes the following:
- An ETC identity card and Student Orientation Pack.
- Loan of books and other academic materials. You must pay a deposit of £25 at the library (refundable when you return the books in pristine condition). You must buy a workbook for each course / level that you study. You must buy a course book if you want to keep it / write in it. We recommend that you buy a course book if you plan to take a course for more than 4 weeks.
- A course certificate for each course completed successfully, with at least 80% attendance.
- A final report, if requested.
- Academic counselling, welfare, general counselling and administration services.
- Free internet access in the internet cafe. WiFi internet access throughout the whole school.

ETC runs a 12-week programme for all levels. If you start on the dates shown, you should begin your course at the same time as other students. You can start on any Monday of the year (not bank holidays) for English Language Studies (General English) courses, but if you do, you may miss part of the course.
Examination Preparation Courses
Please contact ETC for course dates and approximate exam dates before booking your return flights or holidays after your course because some exams may take place after the end of the exam preparation course.
Please note that Cambridge exam courses that start in December include 2 weeks Christmas holiday: ETC will be closed during those 2 weeks.
Cambridge First Certificate
Full 12-week course: £1380 (Excluding exam fee). (24 lessons per week = 18 hours per week.
4 lessons per week are dedicated to exam practice).

TOEIC exam preparation
Full 12-week course: £1824( Excluding exam fee). Exam is taken at ETC.
(30 lessons per week = 22.5 hours per week. 20 lessons per week are General English; 10 lessons per week are TOEIC exam preparation work, of which 4 lessons per week are dedicated to exam practice).

IELTS exam preparation

English for Special Purposes Courses
These courses are normally run in the afternoons. Fees do not include exam fees.

Business English (leading to Cambridge BEC exam). Full 12-week course: £1380.

Further Education Courses
These courses are not English language courses.
Business Studies
(20 lessons per week = 15 hours per week. This course is normally run in the afternoons. Includes LCCI EB Business Practice Third Level exam preparation).
Full 24-week course: £4200 (Excluding exam fees). 2007 Start Date: 8 th January, 2007.
Travel and Tourism
(20 lessons per week = 15 hours per week. This course is normally run in the afternoons.
Full 24-week course: £4200 (Excluding exam fees). 2007 Start Date: 8 th January, 2007.
(30 lessons per week = 22.5 hours per week). Students are expected to take IELTS, LCCI EB English for Business (Level 2) and Business Practice (Third Level) exams during these courses. Exam fees are not included. Standard Programme (36 weeks’ duration). Total fees: £6300.

2007 course start date: 17 th September, 2007.
One-to-one Courses
One-to-one tuition may be the best way for students with limited time to study, especially if they require training in a highly specialized field or if they would like to follow a flexible, personalized timetable. Each lesson is 45 minutes long and costs£30. Clients may take any number of 1:1 lessons. If clients need a student visa to follow a course at ETC, they must complete at least 15 hours of study per week (ie. 20 lessons per week).

English Plus Courses
Please note that these courses include 5 sessions per week of a specialist activity. Each session will normally last for at least 45 minutes. The fees shown below do not include the English language component, accommodation, transportation to venues, insurance or other fees, unless indicated. Sessions will sometimes be delivered via one session each day, Monday to Friday, but there may be times when sessions will be delivered in longer sessions but over fewer days per week (for example, no session on Monday, two sessions on Tuesday, one session on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
To calculate the total course price, add the figures for the leisure components shown below to the fees for your chosen language course. For example, one week English + Tennis: £140 + £150 = £290 total tuition fees.
Please note that clients cannot take the leisure component without taking an English language course. Our current range of English Plus courses includes the following:
