ETC’s Business University Foundation Programme

Here at ETC International College, we provide a business university foundation programme for you to get into the university of your choice. Study hard, learn the language and focus on the course aspects to enter a business degree course at university.

The university foundation programme for business lasts for 24 weeks. Each unit has 60 hours of teaching and a recommendation of 40 hours per unit of personal study time. By the end of the business university foundation programme, students will develop the language, study skills and subject knowledge relating to the field of business.

The ETC business university foundation programme is aimed at students wishing to enter a UK university. The course prepares students for studying at a degree level.

The 24 week course is a 80 Credit Diploma in Business including two English modules. Each unit has 60 hours of teaching and 40 hours per unit of personal study time. The university foundation programme for business consists of 6 units from a range of business subjects spread over 24 weeks (3 terms of 8 weeks each). There are 6 Start Dates throughout the year.

This covers 28 Lessons a week ( 1 Lesson = 45 Minutes) 21 Hours.

Extra Units

Extra Units can be added onto the main course for students who wish to add an extra specialism to their course and widen their choice of university options.

These units will be predetermined by the school from the following areas according to course fit, demand and availability:

English for Academic Purposes

Following the EAP course will greatly enhance student ability to participate in higher education.  Students will learn the appropriate skills and vastly improve their chance of gaining a higher IELTS score.

Following the Pre-sessional EAP course provides an average progression rate of a 1.5 IELTS score increase within 12 weeks.  This compares to Pre-foundation English courses average rate of a 0.5 score increase in 12 weeks.

All assessments and student work will be internally verified according to level 3 standard Business criteria.

The college has a university counsellor who provides free regular tutorials to progress students’ applications to university.

At the end of the course, you will receive an ETC Award as listed below depending on the length of your course of study.  The more credits you have, the wider your choice of universities.
